Who will be cleaning my home?

It is very difficult to verify the honesty in a person on your own.  A Touch of Class Cleaning employees are fully screened and fully trained before professionally cleaning a customer’s home.  For your safety our teams come in clearly marked uniforms and arrive in company marked vehicles.  We are happy to introduce your team to you at one of our scheduled cleanings.

Are you Bonded and Insured?
You want your home cleaning service to cover any potential damage that may occur. If a residential cleaning provider is bonded and has liability insurance you can have confidence that they will be accountable for any breakage, damage, loss or injury that occurs while cleaning your home. A Touch of Class Cleaning carries all necessary bonding and insurance.

Are there tax laws that I should be worried about?
If you pay an individual more than $1400 a year for a cleaning service and that cleaning service does not pay taxes, you could be responsible for federal withholding, social security, and Medicare taxes. You want to be sure your cleaning service provider is paying all the federal and local taxes. A Touch of Class Cleaning stays current with all these requirements so that you are never liable.

Do I provide my own cleaning products?  If not, how do I know that what they use is safe for my home?

If a cleaning service uses your supplies when cleaning the house, you may not be getting the quality house cleaning service you expect, and the expense of supplies comes out of your pocket. A Touch of Class Cleaning provides all professional house cleaning solutions, sanitized supplies and high-tech vacuum cleaners with HEPA filters. If you have a specific product you would like to use in your home, please be sure to let us know ahead of time with proper instructions so that we can instruct our team. At your request, A Touch of Class Cleaning will also provide all MSDS (material safety data sheet) on products we use in your home. 

Do I need to be home when my house is scheduled to be clean?
If you wish to be home at your scheduled cleaning, you certainly may.  But you are not required to be there.  Often customers will give us a key to be safely stored – always under lock and key double security. Only the owner’s can access the client key-safe.  Employees must turn these back in to management before they are allowed to leave the office each evening.  These keys are returned to the key-safe until the next cleaning appointment.  Some Customers may give us the combination to the lock box of which their spare key is stored, or on cleaning day hide it somewhere on the premises.  

What if I have an alarm system?

If you have a security system, please make necessary arrangements to give you’re cleaning team access to your home on your scheduled day. Some clients establish a guest or temporary code for A Touch of Class Cleaning.

What if I need to reschedule a cleaning?

Simply call our office prior to your cleaning day. We need 48 hours notice to reschedule your house cleaning.

Typically our schedules are not overbooked, so if you need to reschedule a cleaning without proper notice, we will not have enough opportunity to fill the schedule with another client.

Please be sure you understand your Touch of Class Cleaning procedures for rescheduling and cancelling visits. We do have a cancellation fee and will assess that fee if necessary, although we want to help you avoid incurring these fees!

What if I lock out my Touch of Class Cleaning team on a scheduled cleaning day?
Just as with Rescheduling fees, if you lock the maid services team out on cleaning day, you will likely be assessed a lock-out fee. Please be sure you understand your Touch of Class Cleaning services lock-out fees. We want to help you avoid incurring these additional fees!

Most of our clients either provide us a key or hide one on the premises on
cleaning day.

What do I do with my pets on a cleaning day?
Please advise us if you have pets and any information we may need to know about your pet for cleaning day.  Though it’s not a requirement we prefer pets to be restricted from the cleaning area on clean day, this allows us to clean your home better and more efficiently.

Can you guarantee the time and date of my cleaning services?
A Touch of Class Cleaning ordinarily guarantees a specific day and time for your house cleaning, however with our ever-changing schedules we may arrive earlier or later than the estimated arrival time.

How can I be sure that my valuables are safe when your team enters my house?

If you have any special valuables, heirlooms or irreplaceable items, please put them away or instruct us not to touch them.  A Touch of Class Cleaning strives to take meticulous care of your home and its furnishings, however, in the case of a misfortunate accident; A Touch of Class Cleaning carries all the necessary insurances in the event that any damage occurs.

How do I pay for my cleaning services?

You may choose to pay with cash, **check or money order.  Payment is due at time of service.  If you are not going to be home at the time of cleaning, you can leave your payment on your kitchen counter before you leave.  If you prefer, you can mail your payment in prior to your scheduled cleaning day.  A $25.00 fee will be assessed for all returned checks as per Oregon State law.
